Northern Italy is truly a land of wonders.  There are so many beautiful places to visit. Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Siena, Lucca. But special among these places is one spot on the Italian Riviera that is often overlooked. It is an area known as the Cinque Terre – the Five Lands.  These are 5 seaside towns between La Spezia and Genova on a particularly rugged stretch of the coastline.  They are hard to get to and some of the towns, like Vernazza, don’t allow cars. The best way to access these towns is by train or by boat.  But they are spectacular. Below is a photo of Vernazza.
