Croatian coastline

It seems to me that a far more appealing side to Croatia is away from the large towns like Split and Dubrovnik. Once you get into the smaller villages, often a few miles from the cities, you get the charm and interest that you are probably looking for. We drove into Split and couldn’t wait to get out. There was nothing we could find appealing.
But we spent the night on Ciova, just near Trogir (which is just outside Split). It was a charming little place that had the aspects of Croatia we were hoping to find. I snapped a photo of the sunset with my iphone.
