Fall in the Smokies
D700, Smokies
It is amazing how quickly the leaves can turn. I went up to the Smokies just over a week ago when I got back from Indonesia. But the leaves were really disappointing. Then on Thursday I was in a meeting with a colleague and I got a phone call from a friend. He told me I had to come up to the mountains because the leaves were incredible. I dropped everything and went. Fortunately, I had my camera equipment in my car. My friend was right. The leaves were amazing and almost appeared to get better right before my eyes.
