Life on the street in Lisbon, Portugal
D750, Lisbon, Portugal, Travel, Uncategorized
Many of my friends have found this image evocative. That’s what I hope to achieve with my photography. My photography idol is Steve McCurry. He tells stories of people in remote places, through his photos. When I grow up, I want to be like him.
What’s the story behind this man? I bet its rich and full. Full of triumphs, but more likely fuller with sorrow and hardship. Intelligent, no doubt. Longing for human love, you bet. Abandoned by society, you bet. Somebody’s father, son, brother: absolutely. Esteemed in the eye of this world. No. Less important than the rulers of Europe. Absolutely not.
We live in a world that desperately needs reclamation. We need the Redeemer.
