If you see the last post, it was of Zapallar, a charming little village on the coast of Chile. Green, lush and really interesting. Well the coastline of Lima, Peru is just plain desert, beautiful in its own way. But the interesting thing is that they refer to it as the Costa Verde, the Green Coast. When I questioned some of the locals on this, they point out the there is made green through the landscaping done by the city. Lima gets almost no rain, so this greenery is watered by hand. The coastline does get a lot of fog. It had blown off sufficiently to take this photo, but you can still see its effects in the lack of sharpness.  This photo was taken from my room at the Stay with Us  guest house.  This is a great place to stay if you go to Lima and want to be in the Miraflores area.
