Waking up is hard to do! Despair in Kathmandu, Nepal

We were in a place just outside Kathmandu which had been hit particularly hard by the earthquake. Sitting on the edge of this “porch”, my colleague pointed out this view of the men and the dog sleeping. It was appropriate to the mood of this place.
“Meaningless! Meaningless!”
says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless.”
What little people had of life was taken away from them by the acts of nature. Nothing left to do but sleep.
